<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Sewer repairs on Business Loop to cause lane restrictions beginning May 1</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Sewer Utility will repair and replace the lids and frames of ten manholes located in the northernmost lane of Business Loop 70 W.  This work will require temporary lane closures along westbound Business Loop beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 1. The Business Loop intersections of Providence Road, Garth Avenue and Parkade Boulevard will have temporary lane closures from 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 until 6 a.m. Thursday, May 3.   </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sewer crews will begin by replacing four manholes located on Business Loop between W. Sexton Road and Madison Street, which will reduce westbound traffic to one lane on Tuesday, May 1.   </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, five manholes will be completed overnight, two located near the intersection of Parkade Boulevard, one at Garth Avenue and two located at Providence Road.  Traffic at these intersections will be redirected from 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 to 6 a.m. Thursday, May 3, including closure of the southbound left turn lane of Providence Road. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lastly, the remaining manhole located near Jewell Avenue will be complete on Thursday, May 3, reducing westbound traffic along Business Loop to one lane.  </span></p>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">All ten manholes have been identified by Sewer staff as impaired and once replaced will reduce the need for maintenance and improve sewer infrastructure in the area.  Work is expected to last three days, weather permitting. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">As this work progresses east along Business Loop, motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians should use caution in the area.</span></div>
