<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia is developing its Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, which will serve as a roadmap for how Columbia residents and businesses can reduce emissions and build resilience against the changing climate.  The City wants to hear from residents to make the Plan inclusive of various perspectives.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"The input we receive at the workshop will influence Columbia's climate goals and help shape Columbia's future," Sustainability Manager Barbara Buffaloe said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Join fellow Columbians on </span><strong>Tuesday, May 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 W. Ash,</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for a community-wide workshop to share ideas and priorities regarding sustainable practices and policies. Expected impacts of climate change on Columbia will be discussed and residents can discuss ideas with neighbors, City staff, and members of the Mayor’s Task Force on Climate Action and Adaptation Planning.  Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"We all rely on clear water and clean air.  The investments we make today to preserve and conserve our environment will pay dividends long into the future. I want to make sure we are taking the steps in a thoughtful way that involves the entire community," Columbia Mayor Brian Treece said.</span></p>
