<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Construction to close South Sinclair Road beginning July 2</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Stormwater Utility and contractor, Mera Excavating, LLC, will close South Sinclair Road beginning Monday, July 2 to replace three, 60-inch metal culverts with a 24-foot arch structure.  </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">These improvements require closure of both lanes of traffic on South Sinclair Road between Mill Creek Elementary and Southampton Drive for up to six weeks and will conclude by August 10, weather permitting.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Replacing the metal culverts with an arch spanning a reconstructed channel will stabilize the area, increase the flow capacity, and reduce the likelihood of flooding and clogs from upstream debis.  This project was proposed and funded through the 2015 voter-approved stormwater rate increase. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In coordination with the Stormwater Utility, the Public Work Department plans to complete its Sinclair Road Sidewalk capital improvement project during this time.  This project will fill in the sidewalk gap along the east side of South Sinclair Road south of Muirfield </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drive. For more information about the project, which is funded through the 2015 Capital Improvement Sales Tax, visit </span><a href="https://www.como.gov/publicworks/sinclair-sidewalk/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/Sinclair-sidewalk</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Traffic will be redirected to Forum Boulevard to bypass the closed portion.  Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians should use caution in the area.  </span></p></div>
