(COLUMBIA, MO) -
Beginning Monday, July 9, surface seal operations are planned on 54 Columbia streets, starting with Telluride Lane, weather permitting. The Onyx surface treatment is a fast-drying asphalt roadway and pavement sealing solution designed to extend pavement life. It is a mixture of liquid asphalt, fine aggregates, recycled products and bonding agents.

Musselman & Hall, the contractor for the project, will apply the surface sealer and provide traffic control. Minor delays are likely. Please follow the instructions of flaggers and obey no parking signs when posted. Vehicles that do not obey no parking signs may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

Work will continue during the summer until all of the streets are completed. Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution in these areas while crews are working.

A complete list of streets scheduled for maintenance, with updates and information about pavement management, is available at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/onyx2018.
