<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police officers responded to the 1200 block of North Eighth Street at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Friday, July 6, in reference to a home invasion and shots fired.<br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The preliminary investigation revealed a male suspect forced entry into a residence and discharged a weapon. The victim and suspect knew each other. Patrol officers and the K-9 Unit responded and began their search for the suspect who had fled the area. At approximately 5:30 p.m. the suspect was located and taken into custody. The door to the residence was damaged and there are no reported injuries. The investigation is on-going.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Police Department is asking anyone with any information to contact the department at 573-874-76
