<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - On Thursday, July 12th 2018 at 3:02 PM, units from the Columbia Fire Department were dispatched to 315 McBaine for a residential structure fire. The first crew arrived approximately four minutes later and found a fire in the rear yard which had spread to the exterior wall of the residence. The fire was contained in approximately 10 minutes and damages were limited to the exterior wall. One occupant was home at the time of the fire and was notified of the incident by a subject driving in the area. No injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at $10,000.<br /><br />The Columbia Fire Department Fire Marshal's Office conducted an on scene investigation and determined the fire started in the rear of the structure and spread to the exterior wall. The cause was smoking materials discarded near combustible materials.<br /><br /><br /></div>
