<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Sewer Utility is holding an interested parties meeting from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Columbia Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4900 W. Gillespie Bridge Road.  City staff will present the preliminary design and answer questions regarding the project, which consists of constructing approximately 225 feet of gravity sewer main.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The proposed sewer tie-in will be relocated from the original Hinkson Creek outfall sewer to the newer Upper Hinkson Relief Sewer.  The new tie-in point is farther north and will enable approximately 1200 feet of sewer to be by-passed and abandoned. Investment in the project is estimated at $85,000 and will come from the Sewer Utility Enterprise Revenue Funds.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A public hearing for the project will be held in November, and if approved by City Council, final design documents will be prepared and with construction anticipated to begin winter of 2018/2019.</span></p></div>
