<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Each year, the City of Columbia hosts the Mayor’s Climate Protection Agreement awards to recognize local businesses and organizations for taking action in their own operations to reduce environmental impacts, champion sustainable practices and promote a culture of environmental responsibility.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With categories including Environmental Stewardship, Pollution Prevention, Resource Conservation and Best Innovative Practices, there are plenty of opportunities to highlight how businesses are implementing sustainability best practices.  Additionally, the Mayor’s Award celebrates a previous winner for its continued commitment to sustainability.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Nomination forms are being accepted now through Dec. 31, and can be sent to </span><a href="mailto:Sustainability@CoMo.gov"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sustainability@CoMo.gov</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.  Winners will be selected and announced early next year.  </span></p>
