<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Parks and Recreation is holding a public input meeting regarding a new Hinkson Creek Trail connection that is proposed to link Stephens Lake Park to the new sidewalk on Clark Lane. The drop-in meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Stephens Lake Park’s Riechmann Pavilion, 2300 E. Walnut St.</p>

<p>The proposed 1.1 mile trail connector is an extension of the Hinkson Creek Trail that would take trail users under Interstate 70, linking northeast Columbia to Stephens Lake Park, as well as providing off-road access to the MKT Trail. This trail section would also complete a gap in the proposed 30-mile loop around the City of Columbia.</p>

<p>Staff will be available at the public input meeting with proposed plans and will answer questions and take comments.</p>

<p>The project investment is budgeted at $950,000, to be funded by the 2015 voter-approved Park Sales Tax.</p>
