<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The second annual Snow Palooza winter event, hosted by the City of Columbia Public Works Department, will take place Thursday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City’s Leroy Anderson Salt Dome Facility, 1101 Big Bear Blvd. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The salt dome is home to 5,000 tons of salt that is stored for the winter, as well as the City’s plows that are attached to dump trucks and brine delivery equipment.</span></p>
<br />
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Snow Palooza is an open-house style event for the public and media. Everyone is welcome to attend to learn more about what the Public Works Department does to prepare for winter weather and what staff members do during snow events. Attendees can see the snow fighting materials and equipment, see snow treatment demonstrations, meet City staff and ask questions.</span></p>
