<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia has negotiated draft interim agreements with Bird Rides, Inc. and Pony Scooter, Inc. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">These draft interim agreements are currently scheduled to be on the Nov. 5 City Council agenda as an<strong> Introduction and First Reading</strong> item and then on <strong>Old Business</strong> on the Nov. 19 agenda for public and Council discussion.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition to drawing from other municipalities that have agreements with scooter companies, City staff also had discussions with various constituents such as PedNet, Columbia College, Stephens College, the University of Missouri, the Downtown CID, and the Downtown Leadership Council, as well as consulting the minutes of the Biking and Pedestrian Commission and the Disabilities Commission. These conv
 
 ersations, plus feedback via email and phone calls from citizens, have helped shape the draft interim agreements.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Other dockless scooter companies, such as Lime, have contacted the City of Columbia and have been informed the City will be using the draft interim agreement, should Council decide to move forward with it, as a template for all agreements.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Citizens who are interested in providing feedback about the draft interim agreements are encouraged to contact their Council Member and/or attend the Nov. 19 Council Meeting.</span></p></div>
