<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility is holding two interested parties (IP) meetings on </span><strong>Wednesday, Nov. 7 at City Hall</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, 701 E. Broadway. The purpose of these meetings is to present information on the projects and gather feedback from those impacted.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The </span><strong>Walnut Street Compactor Project IP meeting will start at 3 p.m. in 1C.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">  The Solid Waste Utility recently purchased 910 and 912 East Walnut in order to provide a permanent site for solid waste collection equipment for the 800 and 900 blocks of Broadway and Walnut. The Solid Waste Utility is now ready to proceed with the installation of a new concrete pavement, signage and miscellaneous site improvements to allow for the installation of new trash and recycling collection equipment.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The </span><strong>Wabash Bus Station Compactor Project IP meeting will start at 4 p.m. in 1C.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">  This project consists of constructing a new enclosure, new electrical service, and miscellaneous site improvements to allow for the relocation of an existing trash compactor and recycling roll-off container to the northeast corner of the Wabash Bus Station property.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Property owners, business owners/managers and Solid Waste customers in the areas are invited to attend these interested parties meetings to ask questions and discuss the refuse and recycling collection options. </span></p></div>
