<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">Columbia Parks and Recreation has opened the annual winter trout fishing program at Cosmo-Bethel Park, 4500 Bethel St.</p>

<p>The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has stocked the lake at Cosmo-Bethel with approximately 2,400 trout for the winter trout fishing program. The partnership between MDC and Parks and Recreation increases local fishing opportunities and species diversity in the lake.<br /><br /></p>
<p>All trout must be released, unharmed from Nov. 1 through Jan. 31. Only artificial baits (no natural or scented baits) can be used during that time. After Jan. 31, anglers can harvest trout under statewide regulations. A valid Missouri fishing permit is required.<br /><br /></p>
<p>The winter trout program is administered in partnership with MDC and the Mid-Missouri Chapter of Trout Unlimited.<br /><br /></p>
