<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Utilities is holding an interested parties meeting regarding a potential water rates structure adjustment for customers. The meeting will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. The public is invited to attend and provide their input on the prospective changes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">City staff and the Water & Light Advisory Board have discussed several different rate structures that could be used to support the City’s water system. These discussions have included consideration of the recent comprehensive water cost of service study provided by Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Involvement from our community members is an important part of this process and any process that could potentially raise our customers’ rates. The feedback we receive helps us to have a better understanding of what our community wants and needs. This process also ensures that our residents can come learn about how a change to the water rates structure might affect them," Community Relations Director Steven Sapp said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Staff, the consultant, and members of the Water & Light Advisory Board will be available at the meeting with more information regarding the potential rates structure, and will answer questions and take comments.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">An online survey will be available at CoMo.gov for those who would like to offer feedback but cannot attend the Nov. 7 meeting.</span></p>
