(COLUMBIA, MO) -
Columbia Police received a call of a robbery of a person that occurred in the parking lot of Lazer Lanes, 3412 Grindstone Parkway, on Nov. 20 at approximately 8 p.m.

The victim arranged to sell a Playstation 4 that was listed on Facebook Marketplace for $200. When the victim arrived, the suspect that wanted to purchase the item displayed a weapon and took the item without giving money to the seller. The suspect was described as a female driving a gray GMC Envoy.

The Columbia Police Department welcomes community members to use the lobby of the police station at the corner of Sixth and Walnut to meet strangers for buying and selling items. The lobby area is well lit and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you don’t use the lobby, CPD encourages residents to meet buyers and sellers in a very well lit and very public place. Additionally, buyers and sellers are encouraged to let family members know where they are meeting the person, and call or text their family member after the purchase or sale to let them know they are safe.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or Crimestoppers at 573.875.TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.
