<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to the Climate Trends Summary conducted in March, Columbia could see wetter springs, drier summers, more days above 95 degrees and more frequent severe storms as a result of climate change.  Because of this, t</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">he City of Columbia is developing its Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP).  This plan will map out how Columbia residents and businesses can reduce emissions and build resilience amid the changing climate. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Join fellow Columbians on </span><strong>Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway,</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for a community-wide forum to review actions being considered for the plan. Task Force members, City staff and consultants are excited to share with participants on the planning progress to date and gather feedback on the relative priority of mitigation and adaptation measures.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The feedback we receive at the forum will help determine which steps we'll take in order to reach Columbia's goals to reduce community emissions 80% by 2050 and 100% by 2060</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">," Sustainability Manager Barbara Buffaloe said.</span></p>
