<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Sewer main lining project scheduled to begin Dec. 3</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Sewer Utility has contracted with Ace Pipe Cleaning to line sewer mains across Columbia.  These sewer lines were identified as part of the fiscal year 2018 Inflow and Infiltration Rehabilitation Project. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Beginning Monday, Dec. 3, crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The project is anticipated to be complete by August 2019, weather permitting.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the lining process, residents in the area may be without water for a short period of time and will receive a door hanger with additional instructions.  People in the area may also notice work trucks and steam rising from the construction areas. The material uses steam to expand and secure the liner in place.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The project will rehabilitate approximately 55,000 linear feet of sewer line, 275 manholes and 300 lateral connections.  The estimated investment is $2,700,000 and will be paid from Sanitary Sewer Utility bond funds approved on the 2013 ballot.  An interested parties meeting was held Dec. 28, 2017 and the public hearing took place Feb. 5, 2018.</span></p></div>
