<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:145%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Smoke testing scheduled for Jan. 9 near Parkside Subdivision</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Sewer Utility will conduct smoke tests on Wednesday, Jan. 9 on eight homes near the Parkside Subdivision in order to identify areas where stormwater could enter the sewer line.  These properties are connected to the Boone County Regional Sewer District and have caused high water alarms at the substation during average rain events. Testing will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Properties in the area will receive door hangers with additional information and may see smoke during these tests.  The smoke is non-toxic, non-staining, odorless, white to gray in color and is harmless to pets. If smoke is detected in a building, the room should be ventilated through an open window or door. </span></p></div>
