(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia is monitoring and preparing for a possible winter storm that could impact Columbia beginning Friday, Jan. 18. Forecast models are still preliminary, but the storm could bring additional snow to the Columbia area coupled with high winds and low temperatures.

The potential winter weather would come on the heels of the major storm we experienced this past weekend. This combination could affect travel, power and some City services. The City of Columbia will use all available resources to respond to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community members.

Additional updates will be available as forecasts are refined. The most timely updates can be found on the City’s social media pages: Facebook and Twitter - @CoMoGov.
