<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:145%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia Police investigate homicide in the 3700 block of Weymeyer Drive on Jan. 17</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police was dispatched to a report of shots heard on Jan. 17 at approximately 12:38 a.m. in the 3700 block of Weymeyer Drive. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived and found a male who had been shot. Emergency medical personnel determined the victim was deceased.  The deceased was identified as Deonte Gainwell, 20, of Columbia. Next of kin has been notified.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police Department Detectives and the Forensic Evidence Unit were called to the scene to gather information and process the crime scene.  There is no suspect information to release at this time. The investigation is ongoing.</span></p>
