<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility is holding an interested parties meeting from </span>10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 in the Administration Building at the Landfill<span style="font-weight: 400;">, 5700 Peabody Road.  The purpose of this meeting is to present information on the proposed landfill expansion and gather feedback from nearby property owners who could be impacted.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Landfill Site Master Plan was approved by City Council on April 16, 2018 and identified the expansion area south of the current permitted landfill area to serve as the future site of waste disposal and renewable energy source for the city.  With assistance from Weaver Consultants Group, permitting and design for the Landfill Lateral Expansion Project will be completed in multiple phases.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Property owners, business owners, managers and Solid Waste customers in the area are invited to attend the interested parties meeting to ask questions and discuss the project with City staff and the consultants.</span></p></div>
