<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:145%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">City of Columbia plow crews ended 56.5 hours of continuous operations at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - At 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17, City of Columbia plow crews, Street Division supervisors and fleet mechanics ended 56.5 hours of continuous ice and snow management operations.<br /><br />"Every street in Columbia saw a snow plow," Public Works Engineering and Operations Manager Richard Stone said. "We don’t believe we missed any streets. Every plow driver worked tirelessly and the staff are getting a well-earned rest tonight."<br /><br />Plow drivers, working in 12-hour shifts, included crews from Public Works, Parks and Recreation and Columbia Utilities.<br /><br />At the end of operations all subdivision streets were inspected and passable by a front-wheel-drive vehicle using prudent winter weather driving precaution. There is the possibility that sporadic spots of hard snow pack will melt some and break up and slush. Cautious driving is still advised.<br /><br />Public W
 
 orks will continue to monitor road conditions to ensure the safety of our community. Street Division staff are scheduled to report at normal business hours Monday, Feb. 18. Community members who feel their street is not passable may contact the City at 573.874.2489.</div>
