<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:145%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia Police investigating apparent homicide and self-inflicted gunshot wound on March 11</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police officers were dispatched to a residence located at 5704 Kelsey Drive to investigate a death on Monday, March 11, at approximately 8:30 a.m.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers located an elderly married couple inside the residence. Each individual had evidence of a fatal gunshot wound. The husband called 911 and stated his wife was deceased. When officers arrived they found the husband deceased as well. The initial investigation indicates that the husband’s gunshot wound was self-inflicted. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The investigation is ongoing. Next of kin has been notified. The couple has been identified as Wayne, 79, and Mary, 83, Trentman of Columbia.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or Crimestoppers at 573.875.TIPS to remain anonymous.</span></p>
