<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:145%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia police investigate home invasion on March 21</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police officers were dispatched to a report of a home invasion in the 1500 block of Spiros Drive at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The investigation revealed that three males forced entry into the residence while brandishing firearms</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and claiming to be with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The suspects were not wearing clothing that resembled police officers, they were wearing civilian clothing that was described as light-colored hoodies, which they used to conceal their faces. One suspect was wearing camouflage pants, a second suspect was wearing light-colored pants and the third suspect was wearing dark-colored pants. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">No items were taken and no injuries were reported. The suspects fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With assistance from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Columbia Police used a K-9 to track the suspects, but the K-9 lost the scent.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Columbia Police Department officers will always be in full uniform when executing a search warrant, which includes the patrol uniform or the tactical uniform. The tactical uniform is identifiable as a police officer from any angle," Lt. Lance Bolinger said.</span></p>
