<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:145%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">More than 1,800 volunteers plan to 'Cleanup Columbia' April 13</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia’s Volunteer Programs reports that more than 1,800 volunteers representing 173 groups have registered to participate in the Cleanup Columbia event on Saturday, April 13. This is the 23rd annual citywide trash pickup event. <br /><br />Volunteers will be along Columbia streets and trails, in streams and in parks Saturday morning picking up litter. Each group sets its own start time for cleanup. Following the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a post-cleanup lunch at Twin Lakes Recreation Area at noon. An online map showing what areas have been assigned volunteers can be found on the Cleanup Columbia page at <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/Volunteer" target="_blank">CoMo.gov/Volunteer</a>. <br /><br />There is still time for residents to volunteer to participate. Those interested in volunteering can pick up supplies and find a cleanup location at Grace Bible Church, 601 Blue Ri
 
 dge Road, on Wednesday, April 10 from 4 to 7 p.m.; at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Showcase CoMo at The Crossing, 3615 Southland Drive, on Thursday, April 11; or at Rock Quarry House, 2002 Grindstone Parkway, on Thursday, April 11 from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday, April 13 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.<br /><br />The public is encouraged to use caution while driving in Columbia on Saturday morning as volunteers may be working near roadways.<br /><br />Cleanup Columbia is sponsored by Socket, Veterans United, 102.3 BXR, KFRU AM 1400, KOMU TV 8, the Mid-Missouri CW and the Columbia Missourian. City of Columbia Utilities - Solid Waste and Columbia Parks and Recreation also provide in-kind support.<br /><br />To learn more about Cleanup Columbia, contact Volunteer Programs at 573.874.7499 or visit the City’s website at <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov" target="_blank">CoMo.gov</a>. <br /><br />The media is invited to visit volunteers Saturday mor
