(COLUMBIA, MO) -
The Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) Bridge in Columbia is one of seven bridges along U.S. Route 63 scheduled to undergo rehabilitation and preventive maintenance this year. This Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) project beginning June 3 will extend the life of the Route AC Bridge.

Although the Route AC Bridge will be closed during the work, the U.S. Route 63 access ramps will remain open. Alternate routes will be available via Discovery Parkway and Stadium Boulevard.

The City of Columbia is working closely with MoDOT to communicate these alternate routes to the public. Signs will be posted by MoDOT to alert motorists of the closed bridge and detours will be signed during construction. MoDOT expects the closure and detours to last 60 days, weather permitting.
