<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Commercial Structure Fire at Spencer's Crest Condominiums</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 3800 Saddlebrook Place, Spencer’s Crest Condominiums at 4:13pm on Thursday, March 20, 2019.  911 callers indicated heavy Fire was coming from a balcony.<br /><br />Columbia Fire Department units arrived approximately 4 minutes later and reported heavy fire conditions in the roof and back of the building.  The Incident Commander upgraded to a second alarm, requesting additional equipment and personnel.<br /><br />Fir crews began an aggressive fire attack using preconnected hoselines and elevated water streams from aerial devices. Crews fought the fire for approximately 30 minutes before bringing it under control.  Crews are continuing fire fighting operations, looking for hot spots and fire extension.<br /><br />Witnesses on the scene and occupants in the building indicated everyone safely evacuat
 
 ed.  We continue to verify that information.<br /><br />Fire investigators are on the scene and will perform an origin and cause investigation.  Additional details will be released as they become available.<br /></div>
