<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <h3><strong>UPDATE DETAILS: <br /><br /></strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">The private contractor doing work for the State Historical Society of Missouri, 605 Elm St., has notified the City of Columbia of the following work delays/schedule updates:</span></h3>

<p><strong>Seventh Street Closures: Aug. 12-19</strong></p>
<p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Road, sidewalk, parking space closures between Locust and Elm streets</span></em></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Originally scheduled for Aug. 12-14, River City Construction now plans to have the work completed by Monday, Aug. 19, weather permitting. Crews are installing a stone exterior on the building, as well as sidewalks, curbs and gutters on Seventh Street. This work has resulted in a closure of both lanes of traffic on the south end of Seventh Street between Locust and Elm streets. The sidewalk on the west side of Seventh Street will also continue to be closed through Monday, Aug. 19, weather permitting, and parking meters will not be available in the construction zone. Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users will need to use alternate routes.</span></p>

<p><strong>Elm Street Closures: Aug. 20-23</strong></p>
<p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Road, sidewalk closures between Sixth and Seventh streets</span></em></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Originally scheduled for Aug. 15-19, River City Construction now plans to complete the work Aug. 20-23, weather permitting. Crews plan to place a crane on Elm Street to perform work on the roof of the Historical Society building. This will result in a closure of both lanes of traffic and a sidewalk closure on the north side of Elm Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users will need to use alternate routes.</span></p>
