<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Sewer Utility is holding an interested parties meeting Wednesday, Sept. 4, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1C of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, to discuss the upcoming sewer relocation project at Court Street and Hickory Street. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Information and diagrams showing the proposed project will be available for public review and City staff will be present to answer questions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In an effort to reduce sanitary sewer overflows, this project will include replacing the deteriorating six-inch sewer line along Court Street and Hickory Street with an eight-inch PVC pipe. It will also include replacing two sewer mains under College Avenue and relocating the public sewer from under an existing building. These upgrades will</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> improve hydraulics of the overall system. The purpose of this meeting is to present the construction plan and explain any impacts this project could have on residents in the area. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Construction is anticipated to take place in the next three to five years. Investment for this project is estimated at $507,000 and will be paid for with the Sewer Utility - Enterprise Revenue Fund.</span></p></div>
