<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:200%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 170%;">Columbia Police investigate shooting on Claudell Lane with injuries on Aug. 28</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police responded to the 1000 block of Claudell Lane on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at approximately 7:50 p.m. for several reports of shots fired.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A male victim with a gunshot wound was located on the scene by responding officers. That victim was transported to a local emergency room for medical treatment. On the scene, the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Officers began to investigate and discovered several vehicles were damaged by gunfire and located shell casings in the area. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were called in to assist patrol with the investigation. As officers and detectives were investigating this incident, they were able to locate and interview witnesses on the scene and at the hospital.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Last night there was another incident in which shots were fired in one of our neighborhoods. We will continue to investigate and arrest those responsible for these incidents, " Columbia Police Chief Geoff Jones said. "Our officers are committed to the safety of our community and will continue to pursue those who prey on others."</span></p>
