<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">BP Paterson, the contractor for the Lynn-Oak-Sexton sidewalk capital improvement project, plans to begin construction Monday, Sept. 16, weather permitting. The project is estimated to take 45 days, weather permitting.</p>
<p>Concrete sidewalks will be constructed to fill in the sidewalk gaps along the block of Lynn Street, Oak Street and Sexton Road. Some lane restrictions and a short-term closure on Oak Street<span class="text_exposed_show"> will be required during the project. <p>The estimated investment is $213,000 paid for through the 2015 Capital Improvement Sales Tax ballot and a Community Development Block Grant. An interested parties meeting was held Nov. 15, 2016, and a public hearing before City Council took place Aug. 7, 2017.</p>
<p>Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution in the work zone. Pedestrians will need to use alternate routes.</p>
