<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police perform death investigation in 400 block of Hitt Street on Sept. 21</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia police officers were dispatched to assist Columbia Fire and EMS for a report of a fall at a residence in the 400 block of Hitt Street on Saturday, Sept. 21, at approximately 2 a.m. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived and began an investigation. They learned that a female was attempting to climb a ladder to the roof of an apartment building and fell off the ladder. She was transported to a local emergency room for advanced medical care, however, she died as a result of her injuries. She has been identified as Shelby Lee Meyer, 21, of Festus, Missouri. Next of kin has been notified. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At this time there is no evidence of foul play, however, the investigation is ongoing. There is no further information to release at this time. </span></p>
