<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Police Department and Solid Waste Utility have completed the exploratory landfill dig in relation to the 2006 disappearance of Megan Shultz. <br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Wednesday, Sept. 18, detectives and Solid Waste Utility crews found what appeared to be human remains. A professional anthropologist confirmed that what was found is, in fact, human remains. <br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">No further evidence has been located in the areas determined to have been used at the time of her disappearance. All evidence that has been collected will undergo extensive analysis, including DNA testing. <br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">"I again want to thank the CPD detectives and officers, as well as the Solid Waste Utility team, for their dedication and assistance," Colu
mbia Police Chief Geoff Jones said.
