<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><strong> Date and Time:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at approximately 1:50 p.m.<br /></span><strong>Location: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">U.S. Highway 63 southbound at the East Broadway on-ramp <br /><br /></span><strong>Vehicle and Driver Information:<br /><br /></strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vehicle 1 - </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">2012 Ford Focus<br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Driver 1 - </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Talon Z. Kobush, 20, Columbia, Missouri, Seat Belt- No, Minor injuries<br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Passenger 1 - Sarah J. Bounds, 25, Columbia, Missouri, Seat Belt - No, Fatal injuries</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vehicle 2 - </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, towing a trailer<br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Driver 2 - </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brady H. Wiler, 23, New Bloomfield, Missouri, Seat Belt - Yes, No injuries</span></p>
<p><strong>Incident Details:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vehicle 1 was traveling south on the on-ramp from East Broadway to South Highway 63. Vehicle 2 was traveling south on U.S. Highway 63 in the passing lane. Vehicle 1 struck the back of the trailer towed by Vehicle 2. Driver 1 and Passenger 1 were transported by paramedics to University Hospital. Passenger 1 later died as a result of her injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Next of kin has been notified.</span></p>
<p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As a result of the preliminary investigation, Talon Z. Kobush (Driver 1) was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and involuntary manslaughter as a result of the crash. He was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.</span></p>
