<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h3 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police serve a search warrant at 4001 Oakland Gravel Road and engage in pursuit</h3>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police detectives from the Street Crimes Unit (SCU) with assistance from the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) served a search warrant at a residence, 4001 Oakland Gravel Road, Apt. 202 on Tuesday, Nov. 19. While conducting the search warrant, one person fled in a vehicle, which initiated a vehicle pursuit. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The pursuit began in the 4000 block of Oakland Gravel Road and ended in the vicinity of East Sir Barton Drive and Gallant Fox Drive when CPD used a spike strip to disable the vehicle. The sole occupant exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A helicopter was in the air and maintained surveillance on the fleeing suspect while officers maintained a perimeter. The suspect was located in a wooded area in the vicinity of East Sir Barton Drive and Gallant Fox Drive. He was taken into custody without any further incident. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Several schools in the area were put on "hold and secure." This prevents anyone from entering or exiting the school building. At no time was the suspect attempting to get into any school. The schools included in the "hold and secure" were Derby Ridge Elementary, Blue Ridge Elementary, Oakland Middle, Lange Middle and the Center for Early Learning-North.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Inside the residence and vehicle, officers located a total of five firearms, two of which were reported as stolen, and approximately one ounce of heroin.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The suspect, identified as Joseph Andrew Luckett Jr., 25, of Columbia, has been charged with the following: resisting arrest for a felony, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, five counts of convicted felon in possession of firearm, two counts of stealing (firearm), misdemeanor stealing, and delivery/distribution of a controlled substance.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There is no further information to release at this time. </span></p>
