(COLUMBIA, MO) -
The City of Columbia Sewer Utility is holding an interested parties meeting Thursday, Jan. 9, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., in Conference Room 1C of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, to discuss the upcoming South Providence Sanitary Sewer Relocation Project.

The existing 8-inch sanitary line under South Providence has settled causing sags, decreased pipe capacity and increased maintenance cost. The purpose of this meeting is to present the plans for the construction of approximately 350 linear feet of gravity sanitary sewer and two new sanitary sewer structures. The project proposes relocating the existing line approximately 25 feet north of the existing alignment in order to keep the line open during construction.

The proposed plan will be available for public review and City staff will be present to answer questions.
