<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police arrest two after investigating suspicious vehicle in the 2100 block of Sunborough Drive on Jan. 5</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police officers were called to the 2100 block of Sunborough Drive regarding a suspicious vehicle and two suspicious individuals at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle unoccupied. It was learned the vehicle had been reported stolen out of La Plata County, Colorado. Officers contacted the Durango, Colorado Police Department and learned two suspects were associated with the stolen vehicle; Stephen A. Goupil, 33, of Denver, Colorado and Erin A. Bradley, 27 of Ignacio, Colorado. Goupil was classified as armed and dangerous. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers canvassed the area and obtained good descriptions of the two individuals seen exiting the vehicle. A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper located Goupil near Broadway and Hwy ZZ (Strawn Road) where he was taken into custody without incident for charges from Colorado of parole violation and kidnapping and on local charges for tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers were able to locate Bradley at a residence in the 1300 block of S. Mesa Drive where she was taken into custody without incident. Bradley was arrested on local charges for tampering with a motor vehicle in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police appreciate the assistance from Missouri State Highway Patrol, Boone County Fire Protection District and University of Missouri Police Department. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police Chief Geoff Jones thanks the resident who saw something suspicious and called for law enforcement to investigate. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"If you see something, say something,'' Police Chief Geoff Jones said. "Simply reporting this suspicious vehicle resulted in the arrest of a dangerous wanted felon who may have been planning additional crimes. The successful apprehension of these two suspects is the direct result of the police and community working together."</span></p>
