<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On March 20, the Heart of Missouri United Way, Community Foundation of Central Missouri, City of Columbia and Boone County launched </span><a href="http://www.comohelps.org"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CoMoHelps.org</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to enable community members to make donations and sign up as volunteers to assist nonprofits as part of the local response to coronavirus (COVID-19).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The website directs donors to the Heart of Missouri United Way, which will distribute funds to local nonprofits who work to provide services to families and individuals in need, as well as the Community Foundation of Central Missouri which will fund the broader community needs for those who may be impacted. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A link to volunteer opportunities from local nonprofits will also be included, coordinated by the City of Columbia Volunteer Program. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Residents who need assistance are encouraged to contact the United Way 211 Center by phone simply dialing 2-1-1 or visiting 211helps.org. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The United Way 211 Center is a resource to connect residents to agencies that can provide basic needs including food, childcare, utility assistance and mental health services. This is a free, confidential service. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Boone County Emergency Operations Center is also coordinating donations and volunteers to support the local coronavirus (COVID-19) response. </span></p></div>
