<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <br /><strong>Tuesday, April 7 summary</strong><br />The number of positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Boone County is currently 71 with 50 who have recovered at the time of publishing. Tuesday’s Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) Facebook Live video discussed ways to give and get help, specifically when it comes to food resources. Below is information about ordinances approved by City Council related to the coronavirus, guidance for residential and commercial construction, and obtaining vital records.<br /><br /><strong>Cases in Boone County</strong><br />

us pandemic. The measures included:<br />

<li>Temporary deviation relating to parking meter hoods and transit fares</li>
<li>Temporary deviation relating to penalties, late charges and service fees on utility accounts</li>
<li>Temporary rules for the submission of public comments on Council agenda items</li>
<li>Administrative delay on the processing of applications for building permits for new construction</li>
<li>Temporary deviation relating to the City of Columbia COVID-19 Leave Policy and federal Coronavirus Response Leave Policy for City employees</li>
</ul>

blic Health and Human Services</em><br />PHHS is not currently processing vital records on a walk-in basis. They are directing residents to utilize Vitalchek.com to order online. VitalChek is the only external processor Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services utilizes for vital records like birth certificates.
