<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On April 7 Columbia Police detained a 16-year-old juvenile for 2nd degree murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the Feb. 5 shooting death of Joseph Valention Taylor at a residence in the 1400 block of Doris Drive.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The resident reported two people entered the home and one person, Taylor, was shot and the second individual ran from the home. Taylor was pronounced dead on the scene by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The juvenile suspect is being held by juvenile authorities.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation and no additional information can be provided at this time.</span></p>
