<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <br /><strong>Thursday, April 16 summary</strong><br />The number of positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Boone County is currently 87 with 76 who have recovered at the time of publishing. Below is information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about creating care plans for older adults. Many care plans include a summary of health conditions, medications, health care providers, emergency contacts and end-of-life care options (for example, advance directives). Many people complete their care plans in consultation with their doctor, and if needed, with help from a family member or home nurse aide.<br /><
br />Developing a care plan now can have benefits beyond the current pandemic. A care plan can be updated every year or any time there is a change in a person’s health or medications to keep the care plan current. Care plans can reduce emergency room visits and hospitalizations, and improve overall medical management for people with a chronic health condition, resulting in a better quality of life.<br /><br />For additional information and to download a fillable care plan form, please visit <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/aging/develop-care-plan.html">cdc.gov/aging/develop-care-plan.html</a>.<br /><br /><strong>Changes to City services</strong><br /><em>Municipal Court</em><br />The Columbia Municipal Court continues to operate under limited public access until further notice. Except as set forth in the 13th Judicial Circuit Administrative Order, all cases through May 8, 2020, will be postponed to a later date.<br /><br />New court dates will be mailed to defendants or th
eir attorneys to the address on file with the court. To update an address, contact the court at MunicipalCourt@CoMo.gov or call 573.817.5022.<br /><br />Written guilty pleas are accepted via email at MunicipalCourt@CoMo.gov or by fax at 573.874.7531. Forms are located here: <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/Court/Court-Forms">CoMo.gov/Court/Court-Forms</a>.<br /><br />Payments can be processed online at <a href="http://www.trafficpayment.com">trafficpayment.com</a>, by phone 1.800.444.1187 or via mail at 600 E.
