<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <br /><strong>Tuesday, April 21 summary</strong><br />The number of positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Boone County is currently 90 with 80 who have recovered at the time of publishing. Tuesday’s Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) <a href="https://www.facebook.com/CoMoHealthDept">Facebook Live</a> video discussed resources and services for folks experiencing homelessness. View some of the information below and ways that residents can donate to the organizations providing assistance.<br /><br /><strong>Cases in Boone County</strong><br />

Residents can also call 211 for assistance finding food, childcare, assistance paying household bills, locating mental health services or other essential services. 211 Is free, confidential and specialists are av
ailable 24/7.<br /><br />Below is information about the organizations that were represented in the PHHS Facebook Live video:<br /><br /><em>True North of Columbia</em>: True North is a comprehensive domestic and sexual violence victim service program with an emergency shelter, a 24/7 hotline, services and more. Donations can be made at <a href="http://www.truenorthofcolumbia.org/donate">truenorthofcolumbia.org/donate</a>.<br /> <br /><em>New Horizons</em>: New Horizons offers community mental health programs, including programs for people experiencing homelessness who have a mental illness. As a member of the Columbia Homeless Outreach Team, New Horizons PATH program staff members visit folks experiencing unsheltered homelessness to make sure they are safe; provide food, water, hygiene items, and supplies; assess for symptoms
of COVID-19; and link with housing, healthcare and human services. New Horizons can be reached at 573.443.0405 or InfoRequest@mo-newhorizons.com. Donations to the street outreach team can be made to Phoenix Programs at rross@phoenixprogramsinc.org. <br /><br /><em>Salvation Army Harbor House</em>: Harbor House is a homeless shelter that houses men, women and families.
