<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <br /><strong>Thursday, April 30 summary</strong><br />The number of positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Boone County is currently 94 with 89 who have been released from isolation at the time of publishing. Below is information from Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) regarding guidance as the Stay at Home Order expires.<br /><br /><strong>Cases in Boone County</strong><br />

<ul>
<li>Wash your hands often.</li>
<li>Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.</li>
<li>Avoid close contact with people who are sick.</li>
<li>Put distance between yourself and other people.</li>
<li>Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others.</li>
<li>Cover coughs and sneezes.</li>
<li>Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.</li>
</ul>

As the Order expires, PHHS director Stephanie Browning has issued Order No. 2020-05. This Order includes a framework for most businesses in Boone County to reopen with limitations on occupancy. This order will be effective at 12 a.m. on Monday, May 4, and represents a careful, gradual and phased approach to reopening Columbia and Boone County. <br /><br />Businesses should refer to the business guidance document provided by PHHS for more information on how to safely operate during this time.<br /><br />The community briefing where the new Order was announced can be viewed here:
