<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Monday, June 1, Columbia Police responded to two separate incidents where pedestrians were struck with vehicles near the intersection of Broadway and Providence Road. </span></p>
<p><strong>Incident 1 - Case Number 2020-004594</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 8:15 p.m, Columbia Police responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Broadway and Providence Road. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Fire Department and CPD provided immediate assistance to the 25 year-old female pedestrian. Shortly afterward, the pedestrian was transported by ambulance services to a local emergency room to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At this time no suspect or vehicle has been identified.</span></p>
<p><strong>Incident 2 - Case Number 2020-004597</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 8:52 p.m, Columbia Police responded to a report of a vehicle leaving the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Broadway and Providence Road. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Upon arrival, a 21 year-old female pedestrian reported she was on the west side of the intersection when a four-door sedan approached. The pedestrian reported that she asked the driver to turn the vehicle around, but he refused. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Members of the crowd reported that the vehicle proceeded forward and collided with the pedestrian. Medics were on scene to treat the pedestrian, but she refused treatment. The driver was described as a white male with blonde/brown hair who fled the scene of the accident. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At this time no suspect has been identified.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">These are active and ongoing investigations. There are no additional details to provide. </span></p>
