<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">UPDATE: Columbia Police, in conjunction with the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, continue investigation regarding two incidents in which demonstrators reported being struck by vehicles near Broadway and Providence Road</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On June 1, Columbia Police responded to two separate incidents where demonstrators reported being struck by vehicles, suffering non-life threatening injuries. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the course of the investigation, officers were able to identify the drivers involved in each incident. The first incident took place at approximately 8:15 p.m. A 25 year-old female reported she was struck near the intersection of Providence Road and East Broadway. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The second incident took place at approximately 8:52 p.m. A 21 year-old female reported she was struck near the intersection of Providence Road and East Broadway. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Information relating to these cases was submitted to the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review on Monday, June 16. The prosecutor’s office has requested additional information and a Columbia Police detective has been assigned to the investigation. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Following the incidents, Chief Geoff Jones released a statement saying </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">CPD is committed to supporting peaceful protests while ensuring the public’s safety.
