<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <br /><strong>Friday, June 19 summary</strong><br />The number of positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Boone County is currently 257 with 196 who have been released from isolation at the time of publishing. There are 7 new cases from the previous press release update and the number released from isolation has increased by 7. There are currently 59 active cases. Below is information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about the possibility of someone testing negative for COVID-19 and later testing positive.<br /><br /><strong>Cases in Boone County</strong><br />

Someone may test negative if the sample was collected early in the infection and test positive later during the illness. Someone could also be exposed to COVID-19 after the test and get infecte
