<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">City of Columbia Parking Utility collaborates with CID on curbside pick-up location pilot program</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Monday, June 15, City of Columbia City Council approved a pilot program between Parking Utility and the Downtown Community Improvement District (CID) wherein </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">metered spots around the downtown community are now designated solely as curbside and carryout spots to assist businesses and their customers. The pilot program was fully implemented on July 13 and will continue for one month, after which time Parking Utility and the CID will review for ongoing use.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Our aim for this partnership is to provide assistance and encouragement to our downtown businesses in their efforts to continue providing curbside pickup and carryout services during this time," Director of Public Works David Nichols said. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">These 32 spots are located in select locations around the downtown area. Customers may identify these spots by the red bag over the meter and new signs placed on the meter poles. Customers do not have to pay upon parking in these spots, and will have 10 minutes to park and pick up their goods. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"Keeping our businesses up and running and keeping the public safe are two of our missions. We are grateful to have worked with the City on this program. Now, more than ever, we need to support our businesses that make our community great," said Nickie Davis, Executive Director of The District, Downtown CID. </span></p>
