<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - A community briefing will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m. to discuss the continuing local and statewide rise in COVID-19 cases, the recent health orders for the City of Columbia and Boone County, and plans to keep our community safe as college students return and children and families prepare to go back to school. <br /><br />Speaking during the briefing will be Columbia Mayor Brian Treece; Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services Director Stephanie Browning; MU Health Care Chief Nursing Officer Mary Beck, University of Missouri System President Dr. Mun Choi, and Columbia Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Peter Stiepleman.<br /><br />The briefing will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Members of the media are invited to attend. Social distancing measures will be in place. Masks are required.<br /><br />The briefing will be livestreamed for the public a
