<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Saturday, Aug, 22 at approximately 9:50 a.m., Columbia police responded to the 100 block of Austin Avenue after an individual reported finding possible human remains. Upon arrival, officers were able to confirm human remains, which were heavily decomposed. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Boone County Medical Examiner was contacted and the remains were transported to the medical examiner's office for further analysis. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A cause of death and identity has not yet been determined. This case is open and active. There are no additional details to provide. </span></p>
