<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - A community briefing will be held Friday, Aug. 28, at 9 a.m., to announce new health orders for both the City of Columbia and Boone County in response to the recent jump in local COVID-19 cases. The new orders will go into effect at the time of Friday’s announcement.<br /><br />Speaking during the briefing will be Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services Director Stephanie Browning, Boone County Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwell and other individuals representing higher education in Columbia.<br /><br />The briefing will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Members of the media are invited to attend. Social distancing measures will be in place.
